PROVISIONAL results show Lincolnshire has scored an overall A to E grade pass rate of 98.2 per cent compared to the national average of 97.2 per cent.
The proportion of A grades awarded is 25.3 per cent – up 1.6 per cent on last year and double the national increase.

Although results from some schools were still awaited on Thursday, Lincolnshire County Council said seven schools, including Spalding High and Bourne Grammar – had more than 60 per cent of students gaining grades A or B.

In addition four schools, including The Deepings School, made significant increases in A and B grades.
