DEEPING Rangers produced another classy performance to beat Bourne Town 2-0 at the Abbey Lawn on Tuesday night.First-half goals from Danny Matson and a hotly disputed Lee Ellison penalty were enough to earn Rangers a deserved win
.
Bourne were much improved, but will be glad to see the back of their neighbours, who have beaten them three times in as many weeks.
Deeping were outstanding going forward throughout the game and took the lead when Matson powered home an effort from the left hand side of the penalty box.
Ryan Semple hit the post from a free-kick and David Burton-Jones lofted a cross onto the bar, before Rangers were awarded a penalty.
Dane Harper and Sam Bettinson battled for the ball, with the former accused off pushing.
Ellison duly smashed the penalty past Aaron Bellairs - who was outstanding throughout, making countless superb saves.
Andy Toyne hit the post late on for Bourne with a deflected drive.
The only sour note for Deeping was that Matson was forced off 15 minutes from time with a groin injury.
